Equipment Engineer

About the role

Establishment Labs is seeking an Equipment Engineer to apply engineering principles to the design, construction, and operation of manufacturing equipment. The role focuses on improving cost, reliability, functionality, maintenance, and product quality within a fast‑growing women’s health and aesthetics company.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new manufacturing equipment aligned with quality standards and company needs.
• Perform validations of industrial equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Update documentation and procedures for existing equipment and new development projects.
• Support acquisition, evaluation, and purchase of equipment, ensuring effective integration into the production process.
• Provide technical support during the integration of R&D products into manufacturing.
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by contracted companies, maintaining quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, electromechanics, electronics or a related engineering field.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, electronics, or high‑volume production.
• English proficiency at B2 level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of automation (PLC, PID, VFD, HMI), pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Solid understanding of electrical, control, mechanical drawings and process flowcharts.
• Basic proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD, Excel, Minitab, and Microsoft Office tools.
