Environmental Program Manager – Latin America

About the role

Kyndryl runs and reimagines the mission-critical technology systems of leading businesses, and is hiring an Environmental Program Manager for its Latin America portfolio. The role manages Kyndryl's environmental operations in line with its Corporate Environmental Sustainability Policy and its Environmental & Energy Management System, covering compliance, hazardous waste, chemical management, incident response, project environmental support and audit coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage environmental operations and compliance for facilities, including remediation, regulatory reports, permit applications and renewal documentation, and regulatory fee payments
• Manage vendors performing environmental operations and resolve performance issues
• Oversee hazardous waste storage, labeling, shipment, supplier qualification and waste characterizations
• Evaluate and authorize chemicals, and support lease and property transactions with environmental due diligence, Phase 1 site assessments and environmental terms in leases
• Support facility exits, decommissioning, permit transfers and recycling/disposal of waste
• Act as Incident Coordinator for environmental incidents, including investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Identify and support environmental projects, including EIAs and EPIC checklists
• Monitor regulations, support audits (regulatory, customer, ISO 14001, corporate) and answer customer inquiries
• Validate operating and utility data for greenhouse gas accounting and prepare the annual environmental operations budget

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental science, environmental engineering or a related field
• 5+ years in environmental management for data center/facilities operations, consulting, design or project oversight
• Experience with air emissions, hazardous waste, water programs and chemical management, and with ISO 14001:2015
• Fluent Spanish and English; Portuguese is preferred
