Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Avionyx is looking for a passionate Embedded Software Engineer to verify Board Support Packages (BSPs) for a safety‑critical Real‑Time Operating System used in aerospace applications. You will work closely with a skilled team to ensure compliance with DO‑178C/ED‑12C standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and verify BSPs across various hardware configurations such as SoCs and microcontrollers.
• Create test cases and procedures aligned with verification plans for embedded BSPs.
• Develop requirements and code according to development plans, ensuring safety compliance.
• Conduct verification of BSP components to guarantee compatibility, stability and performance.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Computer, Software or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with assembly language.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, multicore processors and embedded systems.
• Experience with boot loaders, firmware, RTOS and BSP development or verification.
• Understanding of hardware schematics, datasheets and device driver development.
• Experience debugging hardware/software integration issues and familiarity with safety‑critical standards (DO‑178C, aerospace, medical, automotive).
