Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Join Joby’s cutting‑edge aviation team to develop embedded software for next‑generation air‑taxi systems. You will work in small, agile teams, applying rigorous aerospace standards to create reliable, flight‑critical code.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software for advanced avionics systems.
• Follow aeronautical coding standards and write formal software requirements.
• Collaborate with verification engineers in a Test‑Driven Development environment.
• Create and execute test cases to meet software and hardware certification compliance.
• Utilise test‑automation tools for both software and hardware validation.
• Document test results and review source code, requirements, and documentation for certification readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience developing embedded software in C/C++.
• Strong knowledge of computer architectures, digital and analog circuits.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Fast learner with strong problem‑solving abilities.
