Director of Golf

About the role

The Golf Director leads all golf‑related operations, ensuring that members and guests receive world‑class service and that the club meets its financial and strategic objectives. This senior position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee golf shop, driving range, caddie services, cart fleet, and tournament operations.
• Develop and continuously improve operational procedures and service standards.
• Deliver an exceptional member and guest experience, building strong relationships and addressing concerns promptly.
• Plan and execute tournaments, clinics, player development programs, and special events.
• Manage golf shop profitability, inventory, and revenue‑generating opportunities.
• Prepare and monitor the department budget, financial performance, and key performance indicators.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Head Golf Professional and the broader golf operations team.
• Coordinate with Agronomy and other departments to ensure optimal course conditions and seamless member experiences.
• Represent the club at local, national, and Discovery Land Company events and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing all aspects of golf operations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience budgeting and analyzing performance metrics.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on member and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and represent the club externally.
