Data Privacy Associate

About the role

Moody's is seeking a Data Privacy Associate to join its Privacy Team. The role focuses on privacy engineering and supports the Global Privacy Program by proactively handling day‑to‑day privacy operations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct privacy risk assessments for new products and processes.
• Analyze personal data flows, determine data‑controller or data‑processor status, and clarify responsibilities for Moody's, vendors, and customers.
• Identify privacy risks, propose mitigation strategies, and maintain detailed records of assessments.
• Translate technical and legal concepts across teams to ensure compliant system and product architecture.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience at a multinational company in a privacy, information‑security, or quality‑analysis role.
• Strong knowledge of global privacy laws, privacy principles, data anonymization, security engineering, and data‑governance practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance legal/regulatory risk against business objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (paralegal studies, business administration, risk management, computer science) or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of artificial‑intelligence concepts and experience applying AI tools to improve workflows.
