Customer Service Advisor – Order Management & Fulfillment

About the role

Huntsman’s Polyurethanes Division in San Jose, Costa Rica is looking for Customer Service Advisors to act as the primary point of contact for customers, overseeing the complete order‑to‑delivery process. The role combines order entry, issue resolution, and coordination with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day relationships and orders for assigned customer accounts, providing proactive and trustworthy service.
• Enter, track, and modify orders, handle cancellations, returns, complaints, and quote requests.
• Apply business rules and service standards to ordering and delivery processes.
• Coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain Planning, and Logistics to resolve order blocks and ensure smooth delivery.
• Oversee transportation scheduling, creation of delivery documents, and compliance in SAP.
• Support escalations, fee negotiations, and provide timely resolutions.
• Balance workload across calls, emails, and order entry while acting as a subject‑matter expert for systems.
• Assist teammates during high‑demand periods and serve as backup for the Team Lead.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to manage high volumes under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Jose and travel as needed to meet customers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP for order entry, delivery creation, and tracking.
