Controller – Remote (LATAM) for High‑Growth US SaaS Company

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Controller to own the accounting function of a high‑growth US company, working remotely from LATAM. This senior accounting seat is responsible for the integrity of financial statements, the close process, control environment, and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close, ensuring calendar adherence, quality output and cycle‑time efficiency.
• Prepare and stand behind the P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements under US GAAP for leadership, auditors and the board.
• Design and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, approval workflows and SOPs that scale with the business.
• Oversee multi‑entity consolidation, inter‑company eliminations and foreign‑currency translation.
• Manage the annual audit end‑to‑end, including auditor coordination, PBC preparation and issue resolution.
• Lead the accounting team, mentor junior staff and manage external bookkeeping partners.
• Drive ERP selection, implementation and automation of AP, expense and close processes.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct leadership of an accounting team.
• Demonstrated ownership of the full close and financial statements on an independent basis.
• Strong command of US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 leases; familiarity with ASC 718 stock‑based compensation is a plus.
• Experience with multi‑entity accounting, consolidation and audit management.
• Substantial ERP experience (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks Online or Xero) and modern finance tooling.
• Excellent written and verbal English and proven ability to work remotely with US‑based leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
