Commercial Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Commercial Assistant to join our Customer Solutions team in San Jose. The role provides essential support to the commercial department, helping to generate new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the commercial department in daily operations and administrative tasks.
• Identify and prospect potential clients, generating leads for new business.
• Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations and sales proposals.
• Participate in sales and service meetings as required.
• Update and manage the database of active and prospective clients.
• Communicate accepted rates and instructions to the operations team.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues promptly.

Required profile

• Excellent communication, negotiation and customer‑service abilities.
• Results‑oriented mindset with strong goal‑tracking capabilities.
• Team player who can collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with standard computer tools.
• Knowledge of INCOTERM terminology.
• Basic understanding of import/export logistics operations.
• Numerical skills related to logistics management.
