COE Specialist I – Community Operations

About the role

Join Uber’s Community Operations team as a COE Specialist I, where you’ll help riders, drivers, couriers and merchants navigate critical moments on the platform. Working from a designated Center of Excellence, you’ll provide empathetic, high‑quality support across multiple digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver virtual support via chat, email and phone, ensuring each interaction feels personal and helpful.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly while adhering to established performance standards.
• Make real‑time decisions for stable, high‑volume business lines using documented procedures.
• Identify recurring issue patterns and contribute to root‑cause analysis to improve overall support.
• Collaborate with teammates and cross‑functional partners to remove blockers and enhance the community experience.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience in a high‑volume retail, hospitality or contact‑center environment.
• Willingness and ability to work from the assigned COE location (minimum 50% on‑site).
• Strong verbal and written communication in the required local language.
• Calm, empathetic demeanor in high‑pressure or emotionally charged situations.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑changing, collaborative environment.
