Chief Stewart – Hotel Stewarding Leader

About the role

Join Hilton’s Hotels team as a Chief Stewart and lead the back‑of‑house stewarding operations that keep our kitchens, dining areas and team spaces spotless. You will inspire a dedicated crew, ensure compliance with health standards, and support memorable guest experiences every day.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily back‑of‑house functions, maintaining consistent standards and well‑maintained facilities for kitchen and dining teams.
• Supervise, coach and develop stewarding staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Maintain the highest sanitation standards across back‑of‑house, food‑and‑beverage outlets and team dining areas, ensuring health, safety and hygiene compliance.
• Manage equipment operation, storage, maintenance and inventory control.
• Collaborate with banqueting and culinary teams to support event set‑up and daily service flow.
• Monitor costs, implement efficiency strategies and optimise resource utilisation while preserving service quality.
• Uphold regulatory standards for health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Demonstrated integrity, leadership, teamwork and ownership.
• Previous experience in stewarding, kitchen sanitation or a similar hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation and chemical handling procedures.
• Ability to lead, organise and supervise a stewarding team effectively.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
