Case Manager – Integration Programme (Costa Rica)

About the role

The Integration Programme, implemented by IOM Costa Rica, supports migrants who remain in the country to obtain legal identity, regular status and access to basic services. The Case Manager will support a caseload of beneficiaries, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance throughout the integration process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct screening assessments for individuals enrolling in the Integration Programme, gathering information to determine needs and integration pathways.
• Enter and track case details in the MIMOSA system, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date records.
• Conduct interviews to collect additional information, explain the integration process and available services.
• Complete data entry in Kobo and Excel, ensuring all required fields are filled accurately and promptly.
• Provide follow‑up services throughout the integration process, keeping beneficiaries informed and supported.
• Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders to manage cases and ensure necessary steps are taken.
• Analyse each case to identify specific needs, challenges and appropriate interventions.
• Liaise with translators to ensure clear communication with migrants speaking different languages.
• Collaborate with other case managers to share information, strategies and best practices.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the Integration Programme Coordinator, National Project Officer and Senior Project Associate.
• Capacity to manage a caseload of migrants and provide continuous support.
• Strong communication skills for interviewing beneficiaries and liaising with translators.
