Carrier Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for a Carrier Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with carrier partners, negotiate transportation rates and ensure timely delivery of our clients’ goods. The role blends inside sales, account management and operational coordination to meet the shipping needs of our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new carrier relationships nationwide through lead generation, cold calling and referrals.
• Build and nurture strong connections with key contacts such as owner‑operators, dispatchers and drivers.
• Manage existing carrier portfolio, negotiate rates and improve efficiency of key processes.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify optimal solutions for clients.
• Provide exceptional service by ensuring on‑time deliveries, proactive tracking and accurate communication of shipment details via our software.
• Resolve ad‑hoc logistics issues and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Prior experience in transportation logistics or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, both on the phone and face‑to‑face.
• Persuasive, motivated and able to negotiate effectively.
• Resilient, agile and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Desire to start or continue a career in sales.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
