Buyer II

About the role

CooperSurgical is seeking a Buyer II to independently manage procurement activities for assigned commodities, ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw materials to manufacturing sites. The role acts as the primary liaison between internal teams and suppliers, supporting category strategy execution and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Review MRP recommendations and execute purchase orders to meet production schedules and inventory targets.
• Create, maintain, and manage purchase orders, supplier schedules, and procurement transactions in line with company policies.
• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned suppliers, coordinating shipments, logistics, and material flow.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, escalating significant issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Partner with Planning and Operations to align material availability with production plans and maintain accurate safety stock and lead‑time data in the ERP system.
• Support category management initiatives, supplier performance monitoring, and inventory optimization projects.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work independently managing parts, suppliers, and procurement processes.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders and resolve supply‑related issues.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical‑device or healthcare sector.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on compliance, cost competitiveness, and continuous improvement.
