BIM Lead Mechanical/Plumbing (Job Captain)

About the role

ENG, a BIM company founded in 2007 and based in the United States, is looking for a Job Captain to lead multidisciplinary modeling teams on complex architectural and engineering projects. The role covers MEP modeling, VDC/BIM management, laser scanning and scan-to-BIM services, and is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor modelers, ensuring adherence to best practices, project standards and timelines.
• Proactively identify missing or conflicting information and manage RFIs and RFCs efficiently.
• Conduct in-depth Quality Control reviews across assigned disciplines.
• Influence modeling strategies and coordinate with external stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets with a focus on cost control and align with project objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering (architects may be considered only with extensive experience modeling and coordinating MEP trades).
• +5 years of experience using Revit and Navisworks on large-scale MEP projects.
• Solid experience modeling HVAC and plumbing for commercial, industrial, healthcare and residential construction, including process piping, ductwork, sheet metal, mechanical equipment, domestic water, sanitary drainage, stormwater, medical gases and compressed air.
• Experience coordinating or clash-detecting, and managing teams of modelers and clients.
• Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory; candidates without it will not be considered.

Required skills

• Revit modeling of MEP systems.
• Navisworks clash detection (Revizto may be considered, but Navisworks is prioritized).
• Knowledge of BIM coordination, clash reports, QAQC and model accuracy.
• Strong understanding of project scope, standards and technical documentation.
