Bilingual Short‑Term Rental Virtual Assistant (Japanese/English)

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, customer‑focused Virtual Assistant fluent in Japanese and English to support the daily operations of our short‑term rental portfolio. You will manage guest communications, coordinate reservations, and ensure an exceptional experience from booking through check‑out, all from a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest inquiries and reservation requests in both Japanese and English.
• Manage listings and calendars on Airbnb, Booking.com, and VRBO.
• Coordinate check‑ins, check‑outs, and provide ongoing guest support.
• Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and special requests.
• Liaise with cleaners, maintenance teams, and vendors to keep properties guest‑ready.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor occupancy, upcoming reservations, and operational tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and update property information.
• Perform general administrative and operational support tasks.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken Japanese and English.
• Previous experience in short‑term rentals, hospitality, customer service, or virtual assistance.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet remote workspace.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
