Bilingual Freight Broker – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a driven, bilingual (English/Spanish) Freight Broker to join our remote brokerage team. You will manage an existing portfolio of shipper accounts while actively generating new business, acting as the vital link between clients and our carrier network to ensure shipments move safely, on time, and profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new shipper relationships while growing existing accounts.
• Source, vet, and maintain a network of safe, compliant carriers.
• Negotiate competitive rates with shippers and carriers to maximize margins.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries, providing real‑time updates to customers.
• Identify and resolve issues such as delays, mechanical problems, or routing changes.
• Prepare and manage documentation including rate confirmations, bills of lading, insurance certificates, and invoices.
• Track performance metrics, margins, and account activity for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in freight brokerage or logistics coordination.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Proven ability to negotiate rates and manage shipper/carrier relationships.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Reliable high‑speed internet and a professional remote work environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance regulations.
