Backend Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and robust solutions.
• Optimize systems for reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and thoroughly tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, focusing on root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and propose innovative improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL data modeling.
• Experience with system security, authentication, and authorization.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, fast‑paced team.
