Assistant Manager – Direct Tax and Stats

About the role

The Direct Tax and Stats Assistant Manager will lead a dedicated team, ensuring high‑quality delivery of tax and statistical services across multiple markets. This role combines people‑management, technical tax expertise, and process improvement to support the firm’s growth and compliance objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, support and coordinate the Direct Tax and Stats team, providing tools, resources and guidance.
• Monitor end‑to‑end project processes to meet KPMG quality standards and deadlines.
• Provide regular feedback and conduct 1:1 coaching to achieve individual and global goals.
• Act as a technical resource on complex tax, accounting and administrative issues.
• Review low‑ and medium‑complexity tax returns for regulatory compliance and quality.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving tax legislation and pursue continuous professional development.
• Deliver training sessions and knowledge‑sharing activities for the team.
• Update SOPs and lead process‑improvement or automation projects.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of tax, accounting processes and financial statement analysis.
• Upper‑intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
• Process‑focused mindset with experience coordinating teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
