Area Maintenance Team Lead – Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering

About the role

The Area Maintenance Team Lead will supervise a team of facilities associates, ensuring safety and efficient maintenance of Amazon's distribution sites. This role combines hands‑on leadership with coordination of resources and contractors to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise facilities associates, enforcing safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
• Implement and follow maintenance solutions according to established guidelines.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and track resource usage.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to resolve maintenance issues.
• Execute preventative maintenance schedules and provide on‑call support for emergencies.
• Maintain strong relationships with operations teams and support team member development through feedback and coaching.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• 1+ years of facilities management or electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Experience in reliability/maintenance environments and using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
