Architect - Technology (OpenText ECM)

About the role

This hybrid role for an Architect requires nine to twelve years of experience designing and optimizing enterprise content and archive solutions with OpenText Directory Services, OpenText Content Server workflow and OpenText Archive Server in process and industrial manufacturing environments. The Architect builds scalable architectures that support day-shift operations, efficient information governance and secure collaboration across globally distributed teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design enterprise content architectures integrating OpenText Directory Services, Content Server workflow and Archive Server for mission-critical manufacturing operations.
• Define technical standards for identity management and access control with OpenText Directory Services.
• Configure and optimize Content Server workflow for document lifecycles such as batch records, equipment documentation and safety procedures.
• Architect archive strategies with Archive Server supporting regulatory retention and fast retrieval of historical data.
• Map operational processes to digital content flows with process manufacturing stakeholders and coordinate integration with manufacturing execution and ERP systems.
• Evaluate existing implementations, fix bottlenecks and improve reliability and uptime.
• Develop metadata classification and retention governance models, and write design documents, configuration guidelines and runbooks.
• Perform capacity planning and performance tuning, and coordinate with cybersecurity and compliance experts.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support and mentor less experienced technical staff.

Required profile

• Nine to twelve years of experience architecting OpenText solutions in manufacturing.
• Deep understanding of process manufacturing, continuous and batch production, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Experience with hybrid delivery models and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Awareness of industry regulations and compliance needs; aptitude for documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required skills

• OpenText Directory Services, OpenText Content Server workflow and OpenText Archive Server.
• Industrial manufacturing domain knowledge.
• Preferred: vendor-recognized OpenText Content Server or related OpenText administration certification; manufacturing domain certification considered beneficial.
