AppOps Engineer II – Remote (Costa Rica)

About the role

Imprivata is looking for an AppOps Engineer II to join its Privileged Access Security team. This remote position based in Costa Rica focuses on maintaining a highly available, secure SSH‑based connectivity platform that enables remote support, advanced auditing, and centralized management for mission‑critical customers.

Key responsibilities

• Improve product quality, performance, and reliability.
• Provide escalation support to Imprivata Support and customers, diagnosing complex technical issues.
• Interact directly with customers to resolve escalations and deliver durable workarounds.
• Identify, categorize, and remediate security and reliability concerns on customer servers.
• Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to document and fix bugs.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to ensure platform stability and security.
• Create and maintain knowledge‑base articles for internal teams.

Required profile

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong collaboration skills within a distributed, remote team.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
