API Consultant

About the role

Responsible for consulting with clients and advising them on how to integrate Equifax API products and services to solve business problems, while identifying and implementing improvements to existing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct tasks, resources, and overall project plans for API implementations across clients of varying sizes and verticals.
• Plan, design, develop, test, configure, train, and resolve pre‑production issues for new and existing external clients.
• Coordinate delivery with sales and internal teams, maintaining regular communication with client leadership and operational staff.
• Serve as the primary driver of client relationships and project implementation communications.
• Support technical issue resolution and verify client integrations throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in IT customer support, QA, software development, business analysis, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ability to work in a two‑week sprint cadence.
• Strong teamwork skills, collaborating with remote product managers, marketing, and developers.
• Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.
• Attention to detail for reviewing customer problems against original designs and documenting discrepancies.
• Ability to manage multiple work‑streams and simultaneous projects in a growing API portfolio.

Required skills

• Experience with JSON, XML, and REST APIs.
• Proficiency using API client tools such as Postman.
• Background in internal technology integration support.
