AI Engineer – Build Scalable Enterprise AI Solutions

About the role

Kyndryl is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement cutting‑edge AI‑driven software solutions. You will work within a fast‑paced Software Engineering team, delivering high‑impact features that power cloud‑based managed services for global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate AI components such as LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi‑agent workflows.
• Build scalable APIs and micro‑services using Python and backend frameworks.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Document code, write unit tests, and ensure components are ready for integration.
• Provide work estimates, guide feature development, and mentor cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on AI application development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Growth mindset, customer‑focused attitude, and ability to work inclusively across borders.

Required skills

• Strong Python programming and backend development.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, tool/function calling, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and ingestion pipelines.
• Proficiency with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or Google ADK.
• Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC, API security, encryption, and secrets management.
• Understanding of AI security (OWASP LLM Top 10, guardrails, prompt injection) and observability tools.
