Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function for a manufacturing/medical‑device site, ensuring accurate month‑end and year‑end closes, financial reporting, and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. This senior position partners with the site Controller and global finance teams to drive process improvements and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, including accruals, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Lead the preparation of financial statements, MD&A analysis, and variance reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely delivery of audit documentation.
• Develop and coach a high‑performing accounting team.
• Implement and maintain strong controls over capital assets and free‑trade‑zone requirements.
• Partner with global finance and IT on ERP, consolidation, and analytics system enhancements.
• Support FP&A activities such as budgeting and quarterly forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or Master’s a plus).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, preferably in a manufacturing or medical‑device environment.
• Proven experience with month‑end close, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
