Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead a high‑performing accounting team in a manufacturing/medical‑device environment. This role ensures accurate month‑end and year‑end closes, drives financial analysis, and acts as a strategic partner to the site leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Oversee accurate and timely month‑end close, including accruals, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Review monthly trends and variances, providing summarized MD&A analysis.
• Partner with the site Controller on treasury, tax, free‑trade‑zone, and regulatory functions.
• Create and maintain strong controls for capital assets compliance.
• Drive process improvement and automation with global finance and IT teams.
• Provide technical accounting leadership on inventory, intercompany, and revenue/expense recognition.
• Lead annual financial statement audits and coordinate additional audits (e.g., free‑trade‑zone, tax).
• Support FP&A activities, including budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
• Collaborate on system enhancements using Infor ERP, OneStream, and Power BI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or Master’s a plus).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, preferably in manufacturing or medical‑device settings.
• Proven experience with month‑end/year‑end close, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Infor.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with OneStream consolidation and Power BI analytics.
