Accountant I – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant I focused on Accounts Payable to join our S2P (Source‑to‑Pay) team in San Jose, Costa Rica. You will support the migration of AP processes across the Americas and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support migration of S2P processes from multiple countries to Costa Rica.
• Prepare S2P documentation, including process maps and work instructions.
• Process internal and third‑party vendor invoices and payments.
• Answer and resolve vendor and AP workflow queries.
• Maintain vendor accounts and perform reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end close activities for S2P.
• Generate periodic S2P reports and KPI measurements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the S2P function.
• Execute Concur audits and other credit‑card related processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in a financial shared‑service center (or recent university graduate).
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Experience in a diversified industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Prior experience in shared‑services finance & accounting functions.
• Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
