Vice President Operations

About the role

The Vice President Operations will lead Freudenberg Medical’s manufacturing sites, shaping strategic operational plans that align with customer expectations and corporate goals. This senior role reports directly to the President of the Strategic Business Unit and drives performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic operational plans for one or more manufacturing sites.
• Oversee full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting and financial performance.
• Define and implement capital investment strategies to support operational needs and future programs.
• Standardize operational processes, KPIs and reporting across sites to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Partner with the SBU President to identify and implement operational improvements and growth opportunities.
• Optimize labor, equipment and capacity utilization to meet customer demand.
• Drive cost‑site alignment through consistent cost‑control measures and operational synergies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Program Management and Business Development on customer onboarding, technical transfers and delivery expectations.
• Represent operations in customer meetings and audits, ensuring transparency and trust.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and external partners to guarantee supply continuity and cost effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of safety, integrity and continuous improvement, complying with HSE, FDA, ISO 13485 and other regulations.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical environments.
• Proven track record of P&L ownership and capital investment management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive cultural change.
• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements such as FDA and ISO 13485.
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
