Utilities Supervisor

About the role

Kraft Heinz is looking for a Utilities Supervisor to support the reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement of its manufacturing operations in Costa Rica. The role ensures the proper operation and maintenance of critical utilities and facility systems such as boilers, compressed air, nitrogen, water systems, CIP, HVAC, chillers, wastewater treatment, fire protection, building infrastructure and OT networks, working closely with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, EHS and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability of utilities and facility equipment and coordinate preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyze indicators such as OEE, downtime, MTTR and MTBF, and lead root-cause analysis of recurring failures.
• Coordinate with internal maintenance teams and external technical suppliers, and support business continuity plans.
• Ensure compliance with governmental, environmental, health and safety requirements, and support food safety and quality standards.
• Support the wastewater treatment system (WWTP) and run projects on energy, water and utilities efficiency.
• Monitor maintenance expenditures, coordinate spare parts availability, and take part in continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma; technical studies in maintenance, electromechanics, electrical engineering or electronics are highly desirable.
• 3-4 years of experience with industrial utilities and/or facilities, in manufacturing environments (food or consumer goods is a strong plus).
• Hands-on knowledge of boilers, compressors, water systems, pumps, CIP, HVAC, chillers and fire protection systems; experience with WWTP is highly desirable.
• Experience with preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs and with external suppliers and contractors.

Required skills

• Maintenance KPIs such as OEE, MTTR, MTBF and downtime.
• Microsoft 365; SAP and AutoCAD knowledge desirable.
• Basic knowledge of OT/IT networks; ISO 50001 knowledge desirable.
