Systems/Software Engineer

About the role

The Systems/Software Engineer will join Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s global edge‑to‑cloud team, working onsite from an HPE office. You will design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software components that power operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases and Internet‑related tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enhancements, updates and new features for system software subsystems.
• Analyze architectural designs to determine coding, integration and testing activities.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, execute them and document results, resolving defects and integration issues.
• Lead project teams that include internal engineers and external development partners to deliver reliable, cost‑effective solutions.
• Communicate progress, status and issues with management and partners, and represent the engineering team in complex projects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less‑experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong English communication skills.
