System Engineer (Hybrid, 6‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled System Engineer to join our team for a six‑month fixed‑term assignment. The role is hybrid, requiring two days on‑site each week at our San José facility, with a standard 40‑hour work week.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support Unix/Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Rocky) and Windows Server environments.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy objects.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Manage virtualization platforms, including VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot vCenter and ESXi hosts.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, providing support every 2‑3 months.

Required profile

• Proven experience with both Linux and Windows server infrastructures.
• Strong understanding of networking services (DNS, DHCP) and directory services.
• Hands‑on scripting ability in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and hypervisor management.
