Sustainability Operations Manager

About the role

Peninsula Papagayo is looking for a hands‑on Sustainability Operations Manager to turn its ESG strategy into measurable action across the resort’s hotels, residential areas and community programs. You will work on‑site in Guanacaste, coordinating with multiple operational teams to improve environmental performance and drive real impact.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of sustainability initiatives covering energy, water, waste, biodiversity, responsible sourcing and community programs.
• Lead cross‑functional projects from assessment through execution, partnering with operations, engineering, F&B, procurement, HR and external stakeholders.
• Track performance using KPIs, dashboards and reporting systems; identify efficiencies and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support certifications, audits and compliance with sustainability standards.
• Drive team engagement, training and internal culture around ESG goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG or related operational roles.
• Strong project‑management and execution skills.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Proactive, organized and solution‑oriented mindset.
