Support Engineer

About the role

Amazon Advertising is looking for Support Engineers to help external customers build business‑critical applications on our Advertising API. You will investigate technical issues, ensure compliance with program policies, and develop processes to improve the developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, and resolve system alerts, perform bug fixes and feature enhancements.
• Manage systems, perform software deployments, migrations, and automate routine operational tasks.
• Develop tools and automation to move toward human‑free operations and reduce operational overhead.
• Provide solutions to product and API‑related questions, write code samples, tutorials, and technical articles.
• Audit partner behavior for policy compliance and collaborate with internal stakeholders during critical events.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in technical support or software development.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and communication skills.
• Experience with REST API‑based services and SQL.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• REST web services, XML, JSON.
• Programming or scripting language such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Linux/UNIX operating system knowledge.
• Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies.
