Supplier Quality Engineer III (Temporary)

About the role

Support and follow up suppliers to ensure that quality‑relevant materials and services meet specifications and AbbVie requirements. Maintain approved suppliers in compliance and document processes to satisfy regulatory agencies and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Open, track, and close supply corrective actions (SCARs) and approve their closure in the GTW system.
• Track blocked, on‑hold, and quarantine materials, reviewing and approving disposition of non‑conforming items.
• Attend supplier metrics meetings, escalating issues and procedural changes to management.
• Lead change notifications from suppliers, coordinating interdisciplinary impact evaluations.
• Prepare, coordinate, and execute First Articles and Change Plans for material qualification.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in regulated industries with supplier quality management.
• English proficiency at B2 level.

Required skills

• Root‑cause analysis tools such as DMAIC and A3.
• CAPA system knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows).
• Familiarity with quality management systems and regulations (GMP, QSR, FDA, ISO).
