Staff Transfer Engineer – Medical Device Manufacturing

About the role

Confluent Medical Technologies seeks a Staff Transfer Engineer to lead manufacturing process transfer projects for medical devices. You will ensure smooth transitions of products and processes into commercial manufacturing while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute engineering assignments, adapting and improving standard techniques and procedures.
• Lead manufacturing process transfer activities, including line setup, validation, and startup at receiving sites.
• Coordinate daily operator activities during transfers, ensuring training and schedule adherence.
• Analyze process data, identify root causes, and implement solutions to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Conduct manufacturing reviews, pre‑validation assessments, experiments, and testing to support safe and compliant new processes.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain engineering documentation in line with regulatory and company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in New Product Introduction, Process Transfer, or Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of medical device manufacturing processes, quality systems, and industry requirements.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Statistical analysis and process improvement tools (Capability Analysis, C/R, Gage R&R, Design of Experiments).
• Six Sigma methodology (certification preferred).
• Process data analysis and root‑cause investigation.
