Software Engineer Expert - Automotive Cloud Platform

About the role

This role leads the design, development, testing and implementation of automotive software solutions. It covers batch and real-time workloads on AWS, assessment against the AWS Well-Architected Framework (with emphasis on Operational Excellence), and recommendations that strengthen reliability, scalability and delivery efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and delivery of features, proofs of concept, complex systems and cross-functional projects.
• Own end-to-end design, operation and continuous improvement of data pipelines using AWS Glue, S3, Lambda and related services.
• Define reusable ingestion, transformation, storage and delivery patterns for batch and near-real-time workloads.
• Provision and manage AWS resources with Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Monitor pipeline health, investigate failures, resolve data quality issues and improve logging and alerting.
• Develop and maintain scalable automation and ETL jobs, and deploy applications to AWS with reliable release practices.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks for unit and smoke testing.
• Assess systems against the Operational Excellence pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and lead improvements.
• Support backlog grooming with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and team, clarify requirements, own system architecture and technical design, and perform design and code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, including high-volume transactional, large-scale distributed and multi-tenant systems with cloud-native technologies.
• Expertise in microservices at scale with Spring Boot and API gateways, and proven experience deploying large applications to the cloud.
• Ability to work independently, with remote management and with local and remote teams.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching and training junior developers.
