Software Contract Negotiator & Data Analyst

About the role

The role focuses on negotiating and defending software and data license agreements while analysing large data sets to ensure compliance and optimise licensing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and defend best‑in‑class software and data license and commercial terms.
• Partner with Business Units and Technology to optimise licensing and support based on demand and technology roadmaps.
• Verify software license entitlements, interpret contract use rights and recommend strategies for licence optimisation and risk mitigation.
• Accumulate, organise and cleanse large amounts of data from multiple sources; interpret data and formulate licence compliance positions.
• Lead audit defence and compliance dispute negotiations.
• Manage work request volume, complexity and productivity within defined service level objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software contract negotiation.
• 2 years of experience interpreting complex software license terms and conditions.
• 2 years of experience with software license and support optimisation.
• 2 years of experience gathering data and formulating license compliance positions.
• 2 years of experience with asset‑management tools and technologies.
• Intermediate proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
• English language proficiency at least B2 level.
