Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

TradeStation is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Order Execution – Streaming (OXS) team. You will work remotely, collaborating with senior SREs to design, build, and operate low‑latency, highly available services that deliver order, position, and balance data to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Stacker and Terraform, stored as code in GitLab.
• Administer Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, including node upgrades, RBAC, autoscaling, and Helm‑based deployments.
• Build and test cross‑region disaster‑recovery solutions, ensuring RTO/RPO targets are met.
• Instrument services with OpenTelemetry, create dashboards, define SLOs/SLIs, and improve alert quality.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, triage incidents, and contribute to blameless post‑mortems.

Required profile

• Strong curiosity about distributed‑system failures and disciplined approach to production reliability.
• Experience with Kubernetes administration, including upgrades, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, C#, Golang, or Bash.

• AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, ECR, IAM, MSK, ElastiCache, RDS)
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Stacker, CloudFormation)
• Kubernetes cluster management and Helm
• CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI
• Observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus)
