Services Associate, Finance Services

About the role

The Services Associate, Finance Services supports accurate, timely and well-controlled financial operations for the Technology organization in Costa Rica. The role covers vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations, reporting, issue resolution and continuous improvement across the procure-to-pay process. It sits in a collaborative, multicultural shared-services environment serving stakeholders in Costa Rica, the United States and other locations.

Key responsibilities

• Process, verify, code and route vendor invoices through approved workflows; prepare payment requests and payment runs.
• Reconcile vendor statements, accounts payable subledgers and general ledger accounts, and investigate aged, unmatched, duplicate or unusual transactions.
• Prepare accounts payable aging, payment-status, exception and metrics reports, and support accruals and open-item follow-up during month-end and year-end close.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and coordinate with procurement, finance, technology and business stakeholders to resolve invoice, payment, remittance and account-balance questions.
• Follow approved policies, internal controls and tax and documentation procedures, keep audit-ready records and look for ways to improve workflows, reporting, standardization and automation.
• Explore approved AI and automation tools to improve data preparation, reconciliations, reporting and financial summaries, reviewing outputs carefully.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, technology finance or FP&A.
• Ability to work with distributed teams across time zones and to collaborate with Costa Rican, Indian, US and other international teams.
• Strong English and Spanish oral and written communication; must be able to travel as needed.
• Legally authorized to work in Costa Rica without employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for financial models, variance analyses and reconciliations.
• Preferred: SAP, Oracle Financials, Coupa or Concur.
• Preferred: accounts-payable automation, workflow tools, Microsoft Power Automate, reporting tools, data-quality initiatives, and coursework or certification in bookkeeping, accounts payable, ERP or process improvement.
