Senior Technician, Maintenance

About the role

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Senior Technician, Maintenance to join its manufacturing team. You will ensure critical equipment runs reliably, support validation activities, and contribute to continuous improvement in a regulated medical‑device environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimise downtime.
• Detect equipment failures, execute corrective actions and write impact‑assessment reports.
• Run experiments and tests following protocols to validate and improve equipment and processes.
• Analyse results, make recommendations and prepare reports for engineering review.
• Maintain and update documentation (ECRs, SOPs, drawings, tooling) to support validation and qualification.
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose redesigns or new fixtures, and lead small validation projects.
• Troubleshoot basic manufacturing equipment and provide coaching to junior technicians.
• Use manufacturing software such as JDE, QMS and PLM to keep records current.

Required profile

• High school diploma and a Technician degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in GMP, clean‑room, medical‑device or automated equipment environments.
• Availability to work Shift B (Monday‑Friday).
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with JDE, QMS and PLM systems.
• Advanced use of the MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and validation of automated equipment.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, electronic, pneumatic and control systems.
• Familiarity with GMP, Good Documentation Practices and clean‑room procedures.
