Senior Tax Manager

About the role

The Senior Tax Manager will lead the design and execution of tax optimisation strategies across the company’s global operations, focusing on reducing corporate income tax and withholding tax exposure while ensuring full compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax optimisation initiatives to lower income‑tax liabilities and withholding taxes worldwide.
• Provide strategic tax advisory on mergers, acquisitions, and international expansion projects.
• Lead transfer‑pricing programmes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimising intercompany transactions.
• Identify tax‑efficiency opportunities such as tax‑option planning for new stores, inventory cost‑management consultancy, and commercial contract reviews.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and coordinate with internal Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.
• Mentor and train the tax team on complex tax matters and best practices.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate tax‑related risks.
• Use advanced analytical techniques to model, quantify, and report the financial impact of tax initiatives.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in international tax, particularly within the retail sector.
• Proven track record of designing and executing tax strategies that align with corporate objectives.
• Strong ability to uncover tax‑saving opportunities and improve processes.
• Extensive experience interacting with tax authorities in Latin America, the United States, and Asia.
• Demonstrated success working cross‑functionally to influence business decisions.
