Senior Specialist, Procurement Management

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Specialist in Procurement Management to lead source‑to‑contract activities, ensure policy compliance, and support supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives. The role contributes to continuous improvement and day‑to‑day supplier excellence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with source‑to‑contract procurement processes aligned with business goals and category strategy.
• Maintain compliance with procurement policies and drive supplier diversity and sustainability efforts.
• Execute supplier management activities, including negotiations and workshops, following the category SRM strategy.
• Support risk mitigation plans, provide tactical input on supplier performance, and flag procurement risks.
• Oversee contract execution from source‑to‑contract through requisition‑to‑pay, identifying process inefficiencies.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects initiated by the Procurement Services Center.
• Guide junior specialists, provide feedback, and develop category expertise.
• Enable team goals and ensure performance targets are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related operations.
• Hands‑on experience with source‑to‑contract, requisition‑to‑pay, and negotiation processes.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Office suite).
