Senior Sourcing / Supplier Engineer

About the role

The Senior Sourcing / Supplier Engineer leads complex sourcing, supplier development, and material change projects with significant technical, strategic, and cross‑functional impact. The role operates with high autonomy, mentors junior engineers, and drives initiatives that strengthen global supply chain resilience, cost optimisation, and manufacturing excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑complexity supplier and material change projects, coordinating Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Operations, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and customers.
• Drive supplier innovation by integrating supplier expertise early in new product introduction and design‑for‑manufacturability activities.
• Influence design decisions through participation in advanced NPI and cross‑functional reviews.
• Apply financial analysis to make‑vs‑buy and sourcing decisions.
• Develop long‑term sourcing strategies, supplier segmentation and dual‑sourcing initiatives.
• Mentor Sourcing Engineers I/II in project execution, technical assessments and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Ability to travel internationally several times per year (estimated 25%) with a valid passport and US visa.
• Strong background in sourcing, supplier development or supply chain engineering within manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision.

• Advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt).
• PMO certification.
