Senior Solutions Architect

About the role

EX Squared LATAM is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and modernization of a regional digital platform. You will translate business needs into scalable, resilient, and sustainable technical solutions while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solution architectures and applications.
• Define AWS‑based solutions using managed services and serverless patterns when appropriate.
• Architect microservices, REST APIs, integrations, and event‑driven distributed systems.
• Evaluate alternatives on scalability, resilience, security, observability, performance, cost and operational impact.
• Participate in platform modernization initiatives.
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams during implementation.
• Work with product owners and stakeholders to convert requirements into architectural decisions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
• Proven track record as a Solutions, Software, or Application Architect.
• Hands‑on development experience.
• Practical experience designing applications on AWS.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs and system integrations.
• Knowledge of distributed and event‑driven architectures.
• Understanding of security, high availability, resilience, observability and performance principles.
• Ability to assess technical trade‑offs and make context‑driven decisions.
• Desired experience in banking, fintech, payments or high‑volume transactional platforms, and leading engineering teams.
