Senior Software Engineer (Node, TypeScript, AWS)

About the role

Software Mind, a team of engineers working with clients in advertising, retail and hardware, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in San José. You will help a client build maintainable, testable and performant software, working closely with product management, architecture and quality assurance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software applications with Node.js and TypeScript
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, architecture, data engineering, QA and IT teams
• Write clean, maintainable code that follows coding standards and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and give feedback
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues
• Keep up to date with software trends and write technical documentation
• Work with QA to ensure quality standards are met
• Follow Agile processes, share progress and blockers in daily stand-ups, and take part in retrospectives
• Help onboard new employees and promote best practices, including automation

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Ideal candidate: 6+ years developing software in an Agile environment
• Experience designing, building and supporting highly scalable systems in AWS is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
