Senior Site Reliability Engineer Manager

About the role

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer Manager to lead the reliability engineering capability across the firm. In this senior position you will oversee multiple SRE domains—including infrastructure, cloud, observability, automation, identity, security and network operations—to embed resilience and governance into the delivery pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Run and continuously improve reliability engineering systems, including automation pipelines, observability platforms and operational tooling.
• Design and implement solutions that eliminate operational toil at scale and embed reliability into delivery workflows.
• Shape engineering standards, reusable patterns and frameworks across the SRE practice.
• Lead response to complex incidents, drive systemic remediation and contribute to post‑incident learning.
• Mentor and coach less‑senior engineers on SRE principles, automation and observability.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform and operations teams to embed reliability and governance through engineering controls.
• Communicate status, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership forums.
• Provide metrics and reporting for service health, pipeline performance and automation coverage.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level SRE practitioner comfortable operating across multiple technical domains.
• Strong delivery track record combined with a passion for mentoring and coaching engineers.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain engineering trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to influence standards and drive consistency across large, complex organisations.
