Senior Prototyping Engineer

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Senior Prototyping Engineer to join the Prototyping and AI Customer Engineering (PACE) team. In this role you will work with AWS customers across LATAM to design, build and deliver rapid prototype solutions that align with their strategic vision. The position combines hands‑on software development with AI‑enabled agile methods.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, test and implement loosely coupled distributed software solutions for customer prototypes.
• Research and apply the latest AI/GenAI technologies in customer engagements.
• Align customer requirements with AWS service roadmaps and drive platform adoption.
• Build rapid MVP experiments tailored to innovation‑focused use cases.
• Author or contribute to customer‑facing publications such as white‑papers, tutorials and blogs.
• Travel up to 25 % to customer sites across the LATAM region.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering prototype solutions in a cloud environment.
• Strong background in agile, AI‑enabled development and rapid MVP creation.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and engage directly with customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 % and operate in the LATAM geography.
• Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and publications.
