Senior Manager, Procurement (Express Sourcing)

About the role

Workday is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Express Sourcing team within the fast‑paced procurement organization. The role combines people leadership with hands‑on sourcing, overseeing a group of specialists while also delivering high‑volume, low‑to‑medium dollar sourcing projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of Express Sourcing Specialists, providing guidance, performance feedback and career development.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performing environment and ensure team members meet individual contribution goals and service level agreements.
• Identify training needs, support recruitment and onboarding of new talent.
• Execute sourcing projects in line with category strategies, handling end‑to‑end processes from requirement definition to contract negotiation.
• Support creation, review and negotiation of contracts to secure favorable terms.

Required profile

• Proven track record in procurement or sourcing, preferably with software/technology spend.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to balance team management with individual contributor duties.
