Senior IT Security Controls Assurance Analyst

About the role

As a Senior IT Security Controls Assurance Analyst, you will join Experian’s security assurance team to evaluate and test the effectiveness of security controls across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will ensure controls are robustly designed, properly implemented, and aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security control assessments using documented activities and regulatory criteria.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and procedures, leveraging data from security tools to capture evidence.
• Use queries and dashboards to identify potential control failures and track remediation.
• Document findings with root‑cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with business stakeholders, delivering clear progress updates.
• Integrate lessons learned and partner feedback to continuously improve the control testing program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of IT audit or security control testing experience.
• 5+ years of experience in information security or IT.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Familiarity with NIST 800‑53, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls, and COBIT frameworks.
• Experience with security tools, data‑driven testing, and control testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, auditing tools, and cybersecurity practices.
• Ability to write queries and create dashboards for control monitoring.
