Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node/React)

About the role

Kake is a remote‑first community of senior engineers building high‑performance, scalable products for Fortune 500 and fast‑growing companies. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer you will own features from design through deployment, working across Node.js back‑ends and React front‑ends.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship production‑ready features end‑to‑end on both Node.js and React stacks.
• Create and version REST or GraphQL APIs that serve as contracts between front‑end and back‑end services.
• Make architecture decisions on data modelling, service boundaries, and component design, applying event‑driven patterns where appropriate.
• Choose and query relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring optimal data structures for each use case.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and implement observability to monitor and debug live systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience with Node.js and React.
• Proven ability to design and version REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with modern Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong system‑design instincts, including data modelling and event‑driven thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
